Eric est un.e comédien.ne, écrivain.e, et metteur.se en scène. Iel a fait un Bac et Master en théâtre et iel utilise ses connaissances et habiletés en théâtre pour convaincre les gens non seulement qu’on a besoin de changer les fondations de notre société, mais que chaque personne a plus de pouvoir qu’elle pense, et la responsabilité de faire de son mieux pour améliorer la situation de vie de ceux, celles, et ciels autour d’eux. Eric is an actor, writer, and director. They did a Bachelor’s and Master’s in theater and use their knowledge and skills in theater to convince people not only that we need to change the foundations of our society, but that each person has more power than they think, and the responsibility to do their best to improve the living situation of those around them. Xyza LaRochelle: Narrateur du prologue/Jean-François Champagne/Missionnaire #1/Personne Queer
Que ce soit à la maison, au travail ou à l’université, Xyza LaRochelle est profondément dévouée à la langue française. Ce dévouement l’a poussé à s’ouvrir à la scène malgré une timidité extrême. Xyza a exploré l’improvisation, le théâtre et le stand-up. L’amour et la passion qu’elle a développé pour la scène l’amène maintenant au festival Fringe et sa deuxième tentative de théâtre. Elle espère continuer sur cette lancée et aider d’autres timides à sortir de leurs coquilles et trouver leurs passions.

Whether at home, at work, or at university, Xyza LaRochelle is deeply devoted to the French language. This devotion has pushed her to step onto the stage despite extreme shyness. Xyza has explored improv, theater, and stand-up. The love and passion she has developed for performing now brings her to the Fringe Festival and her second try at theater. She hopes to keep this momentum going and help other shy people come out of their shells and find their passions.

Magaly est passionnée du français depuis toujours… c’est d’ailleurs ce qui l’a mené au Manitoba! Elle a partagé son amour de la langue pendant plusieurs années en enseignement. Quand elle n’est pas en train de lire le Bescherelle, elle aime se lancer dans des projets artistiques, notamment la poterie. Il y a quelques années, elle a participé au Marathon de création au Théâtre du cercle Molière. Il s’agit de sa première fois au Festival Fringe. Magaly a une formation théâtrale comme clown thérapeutique. Elle espère donc que cette pièce vous fera du bien et qu’elle vous fera rire!

Magaly has always been passionate about French… in fact, that’s what brought her to Manitoba! She shared her love of the language for several years through teaching. When she’s not reading the Bescherelle, she enjoys diving into artistic projects, especially pottery. A few years ago, she took part in the Creative Marathon at the Théâtre du cercle Molière. This is her first time at the Fringe Festival. Magaly has a theatrical background as a therapeutic clown. She hopes this play will make you feel good and make you laugh!

Dominique Wyrchowny est une grande amoureuse du français… même si ses insécurités linguistiques lui disent parfois le contraire.
Dom fait souvent de l’improvisation, que ce soit à la LIM ou comme maître de jeu pour ses ami·es en jouant à Dungeons & Dragons. Elle adore également le théâtre et a très hâte de remonter sur scène dans un spectacle du Fringe, elle qui y participe depuis ses débuts en 2017.

Dominique Wyrchowny adores the French language… even if her linguistic insecurities sometimes tell her otherwise.
Dom is heavily involved in improv, whether it’s at the LIM or as a Dungeon Master for her friends while playing Dungeons & Dragons. She also loves theatre and can’t wait to jump back into a Fringe show, not having been involved with the festival since her first production in 2017.

Will Handley: Formateur anglo/Voisin #1 et #3/Garde de sécurité #2/Homme francophone/Equipière #1 de JF
Curieux de nature, Will a décidé de s’essayer au théâtre à partir de l’automne dernier, avec l’objectif de décrocher un rôle dans une production en moins d’un an.
Anglophone de l’Ontario, ses parents l’ont inscrit en immersion française dès la maternelle. Il a poursuivi son éducation en français au Québec au début des années 2000, où il a rencontré sa femme francophone. Le reste, comme on dit, c’est de l’histoire.
Il est tombé amoureux de l’histoire de Jean-François dès sa première lecture et considère comme un véritable honneur de jouer dans sa première pièce en français, sa langue et sa culture d’adoption.

Curious by nature, Will decided to try his hand at theatre last fall with the goal of landing a role in a production within a year.
An anglophone from Ontario, his parents enrolled him in French immersion starting in kindergarten. He continued his education in French after moving to Quebec in the early 2000s, where he met his francophone wife. The rest, as they say, is history.
Will fell in love with Jean-François’s story from his very first reading and considers it a true honour to make his stage debut in French, the language and culture he proudly adopted.

Ghalia est passionnée par le théâtre depuis longtemps, elle a eu le privilège de suivre une formation théâtrale auprès d’un grand metteur en scène et réalisateur en Tunisie. Elle adore la langue de Molière et elle est très fière d’avoir l’occasion de la pratiquer sur scène…
Ici, au Canada, elle a fait partie d’un spectacle à l’Université de Saint-Boniface, où elle suit ses études en Gestion de Tourisme. Ce qui la motive le plus, c’est le partage intense entre les comédiens. Aujourd’hui, elle a hâte de partager cette passion avec les spectateurs lors du Festival Fringe.

Ghalia has been passionate about theater for a long time. She had the privilege of receiving theater training from a renowned director and filmmaker in Tunisia. She loves the French language and is very proud to have the chance to practice it on stage…
Here in Canada, she took part in a performance at the University of Saint-Boniface, where she is studying Tourism Management. What motivates her the most is the intense sharing between actors. Today, she can’t wait to share this passion with the audience at the Fringe Festival.

Je m’appelle Marie-Noëlle. Je suis née Québécoise, devenue manitobaine à l’âge de 11 ans. J’ai toujours aimé être sur la scène, soit en jouant un instrument ou en faisant de la danse. Selon moi, tous les genres d’arts du spectacle nous permettent d’explorer les aspects différents de notre personnalité, qui ont peut-être un peu peur de se montrer aux autres. Ça donne le courage d’être vulnérable, et de ressentir nos émotions profondément et avec vigueur.
Jean-François plus -que- parfait est la première pièce de théâtre dans laquelle je participe, tout après avoir commencé des cours de théâtre pour le fun au mois de septembre passé. C’est un peu un rêve que je réalise, et j’ai hâte de voir où ça m’apporte dans le futur.
En temps que choses personnelles, j’ai un copain que j’adore et un fils qui est maintenant adulte. Je travaille comme éducatrice de la petite enfance.

My name is Marie-Noëlle. I was born in Quebec and became a Manitoban at the age of 11. I’ve always loved being on stage, whether by playing an instrument or dancing. In my opinion, all kinds of performing arts allow us to explore the different aspects of our personality that might be a little afraid to show themselves to others. It gives the courage to be vulnerable and to feel our emotions deeply and intensely.
Jean-François Plus Que Parfait is the first play I’m participating in, right after I started taking theatre classes just for fun last September. It’s kind of a dream come true, and I can’t wait to see where it takes me in the future.
On a personal note, I have a boyfriend I adore and a son who is now an adult. I work as an early childhood educator.

Daniela est une écrivaine et artiste chilienne-canadienne. Fière d’être multiculturelle et multilingue, ses oeuvres incorporent des éléments de ses plusieurs identités. Francophone par choix, elle est très impliquée dans la communauté francomanitobaine. Pendant une vie divers, elle a obtenu un baccalauréat en anthropologie, un formation comme tailleuse et milles des projets créatifs dans plusieurs médias. Son écriture sur le théâtre en anglais est disponible sur son blogue Curtains Up Winnipeg. Une habitante de St-Boniface, elle est l’humaine de deux chats poilus.

Daniela is a Chilean-Canadian writer and artist. Proudly multicultural and multilingual, her work incorporates elements of her various identities. Francophone by choice, she is very involved in the francomanitoban community. During an eclectic life, she got a BA in anthropology, studied tailoring and has done thousands of creative projects in different mediums. Her writing about theatre can be found on her blog Curtains Up Winnipeg which also features French content. A resident of St Boniface, she is the Food Human for two very fluffy cats.
